Frequently Asked Questions
What is The Secure Love Club?
The Secure Love Club is an online membership for couples and individuals who want to build a more secure relationship using attachment theory and Emotionally Focused Therapy. It includes 100+ hours of recorded workshops and live bi-weekly group sessions with therapist Julie Menanno, author of Secure Love.
How much does it cost?
There are two tiers. Recording Access is $20/month or $200/year and unlocks the full recording library. Full Membership is $100/month or $1,000/year and adds live bi-weekly group meetings, live Q&A with Julie, and 25% off all courses.
Is it for couples or individuals?
Both. Many members join as a couple and go through the material together, but the Club is equally designed for individuals — you can make real progress on your relationship even if your partner isn't involved yet.
Can I improve my relationship if my partner won't go to therapy?
Yes. When one person changes how they communicate, regulate emotions, and respond to conflict, the whole dynamic shifts. The Club is built so a single partner can start the work solo and bring new skills into the relationship.
Is this couples therapy?
No — it's relationship education and group coaching, not therapy, and isn't a substitute for treatment. It's an affordable, attachment-based alternative many people use alongside or instead of traditional couples counseling.
What is the negative cycle in a relationship?
The negative cycle is the repeating pattern where one partner's protective reaction triggers the other's, escalating the same fight again and again — often an anxious pursue met with an avoidant withdraw. Several workshops teach you to recognize and interrupt it.
What is an attachment style and why does it matter?
Your attachment style is the pattern of how you connect, seek closeness, and respond to stress in relationships — usually described as secure, anxious, avoidant, or disorganized. Understanding yours and your partner's explains much relationship conflict, and it can be changed toward security.
How do anxious and avoidant partners stop triggering each other?
By learning to recognize the cycle in the moment, regulate their own nervous systems, and reach for each other instead of protecting against each other. This anxious–avoidant dynamic is one of the most-covered topics in the workshop library.
Are online couples workshops actually worth it?
For many people, yes — especially attachment-based ones. On-demand workshops let you learn proven relationship skills at your own pace for a fraction of the cost of weekly couples counseling, and the live group adds accountability and expert guidance.
How do the live meetings work?
Full Members join a 1.5-hour live group meeting every other Wednesday at 8pm ET, hosted by Julie Menanno, with a live Q&A. Every session is recorded and added to the library, so you never lose access if you can't attend live.
Who is Julie Menanno?

Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel your membership at any time, with no long-term commitment. When you cancel, you keep full access to the group's content through the end of your current billing cycle.
