Our Commitment
The Secure Relationship, LLC is committed to making our website and our content usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. The work we do is about connection, and that should start with being able to reach us in the first place.
The Standard We Work Toward
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, hearing, cognitive, learning, and motor disabilities.
What We Are Doing
Our ongoing efforts include:
Writing descriptive alternative text for meaningful images
Using clear heading structure so screen readers can navigate our pages
Keeping color contrast at readable levels
Making sure links and buttons describe where they go
Designing pages that work at different text sizes and on small screens
Providing captions or transcripts for video and audio content where we are able
Reviewing accessibility when we build or rebuild pages
Where We Fall Short
We know our website is not perfect. Some areas we are actively working on:
Older blog posts and older podcast episodes may not have complete transcripts or captions
Some content is hosted by third parties, including our scheduling system, forms, quizzes, video players, and podcast players. We do not control their accessibility, though we raise issues with them when we find them
Some older images may lack alternative text
We treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a box to check once.
